Parent: Victim, Attackers Still Take Same School Bus

JERSEY SHORE, LYCOMING COUNTY- A 12-year-old Jersey Shore Area student continues to ride the school bus with a group of students accused of delivering an attack on him. The punches and hits got him a brief hospital stay. Eyewitness News is not identifying the individual by name. His mother, Cindy Maiolo, again took her concerns to the Jersey Shore Area School Board. Leaders refrained from making comment about the September beating incident, except to say there were intentions to outfit school buses with a dual camera system.

Maiolo said her son is a special needs student, making the attack at the hands of a group of four students an "outrage." Tyler Carstetter, 18, is charged as an adult. Three more accused attackers are juveniles. Maiolo said one of them pleaded guilty to simple assault and harassment charges.
