SARPY COUNTY, Neb. - KETV.com
The Sarpy County Sheriff's Department investigated a disturbance Monday night at 149th and Olive streets that involved a deputy firing a Taser gun at a teenager. Olive is between Harrison and Chandler streets just south of the Douglas-Sarpy county line.
A deputy went to a home around 7 p.m. to check on a runaway from Papillion. When the deputy arrived, a disturbance ensued involving several teenagers.
Sarpy County investigators said the teen ran when deputies tried to make an arrest. A deputy fired the Taser gun at the teenager. No one was hurt.
A help-an-officer call was put out by dispatch, said to Lt. Russ Zeeb. Zeeb said dispatchers are trained to make that call if deputies are not responding during status checks.
