SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a truck driver was killed in a crash in Robertson County on Monday morning.

Investigators said the crash occurred at about 8 a.m. after the driver had what appears to be some kind of a medical emergency behind the wheel.

THP said the man veered off Highway 431 south of Springfield and hit a culvert. The impact tore the rear axle off the trailer.

Police have not identified the driver, who worked with MBI Trucking.
