PENN HILLS, Pa. - THE PITTSBURGH CHANNEL.com
Police in Penn Hills said they've found a sport utility vehicle involved in a shooting and hit-and-run Saturday night.
Police said someone inside the SUV fired shots at a group of young people walking to a party on Sandy Creek Road around 9 p.m.
No one was seriously injured by the gunfire. Police said Kein Carpenter, 19, of Chalfont, was grazed by a bullet and was treated at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for a minor cut.
An unidentified 16-year-old boy was hit by the SUV and suffered minor injuries, police said. Investigators learned that the boy is a runaway from a youth home in Greensburg.
Officers found the vehicle they believe was involved in the shooting, a 2002 tan Ford Explorer with a Pennsylvania license plate ETA-3650, on Columbia Avenue on Sunday.
Police are still investigating the incident. So far, no arrests have been made.
