“I've never seen colors so vivid as what I've seen in Costa Rica," said Norm Edwards, who submitted this week's top-rated It’s A Snap! image.
Edwards, a Montreal-based professional freelance photographer, was in Costa Rica after placing second in Ujena Bikinis' photography contest in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. His prize was the chance to become a staff photographer for the annual model shoot in the Central American country for a Piel Dorado "Golden Skin" competition for Latin American women (similar to the Ms. America contest).
"We were on location, and I yelled, 'Stop the bus!', (just like the movies) and we got out and started shooting. It was just amazing. It was a high-definition backdrop," Edwards said about taking the winning shot.
Having traveled around the world, he says the most beautiful beaches are in Cuba, (being a Canadian, he's allowed to travel there), but for landscapes, he says, "no place is more beautiful than Costa Rica."
