‘Dancing’s’ Aaron strikes out with Chelsie

Aaron Carter has become a standout on the “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom, but he has more than the mambo on his mind.

The pop star revealed he has a crush on one of the professional dancers, Louie Vito’s partner, Chelsie Hightower.

“I was just wondering if she was single, so first step,” Carter revealed to Access Hollywood following last night’s “DWTS” results show.

But it appears Carter may have lost his footing in how he made his move, asking his professional partner Karina Smirnoff to get the details on the blond pro’s romantic status.

Eventually, however, he approached Hightower on his own.

“He asked me if I was single and I told him I was and he told me, That’s a start,’” Hightower said.

But it appears there is no romance budding for the two stars.

“Aaron’s such a great guy,” she said. “Like I love him as a friend, but you know (I) don’t want to cause weird things within the group, so I think it’s just going to stay cool as just friends for now.”
