Kathy Ireland hasn’t even hit the “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom, but she’s already been injured.

The former Sports Illustrated model hurt herself while taking a breather from practice with professional partner Tony Dovolani.

Ireland took her son, Erik, on a surfing expedition in Santa Barbara and was injured after the board hit her leg and it left her with a cut.

“Surfing with our son Erik---Ouch-- cut- in my leg,” Ireland tweeted on Sunday over the incident. “trip 2 ER--DH on duty--sewn up & heading home.”

The model-turned-mom, 46, was given seven stitches by her very own husband, Greg Olsen, an emergency room doctor in Santa Barbara and Dovolani said the stitches are due to be taken out in a week.

Dovolani revealed he was shocked when he found out his latest partner was injured.

“You did what?” Dovolani said when he found out about Kathy’s incident. “And you weren’t even dancing! Save the injuries for the dance floor.”

Dovolani said Ireland actually practiced “more” this week following the injury than prior to receiving her boo-boo.

And Dovolani had high praise for his partner. “It didn’t slow her down a bit.”
