LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles coroner’s office has indefinitely delayed releasing the results of Michael Jackson’s autopsy.
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said Thursday the release was postponed following a meeting with investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department and the district attorney’s office.
Winter says further investigation needs to be done. He did not go into detail.
He previously said his office might release the results next week.
Jackson died June 25. Investigators are looking to see what substances he had in his body and if a powerful anesthetic contributed to his death.
Authorities on Tuesday served search warrants at the Las Vegas home and office of Jackson’s doctor.
