LOS ANGELES - Court officials say a guardianship hearing for Michael Jackson’s children has been postponed until Aug. 3.

Katherine Jackson, in the meantime, will remain the temporary guardian of her son’s three children.

Jackson designated his mother as the person he wanted to care for his children in a 2002 will. The three, who range in age from 7 to 12, are staying at the Jackson family home in the San Fernando Valley.

Jackson’s ex-wife and mother of his two oldest children, Debbie Rowe, has not filed for custody of the children. She has agreed to previous delays in the guardianship case.

Katherine Jackson’s attorney said last week that his client and Rowe were trying to reach an amicable settlement to the case.
