PAMPLONA, Spain - Four people were hurt Tuesday in the last chapter of the running of the bulls but no one was gored.
Navarra Hospital director Maria Jesus Calvo said the runners suffered injuries including a bump to the head and a fractured ankle in Tuesday's sprint, the last of eight.
One of the six bulls set free in the cobblestone streets of Pamplona covered the half-mile route in one minute, 49 seconds, which is extremely fast. The average time is about 3 minutes.
It barreled into one runner and flipped him into the air, then kept going.
This year's San Fermin festival saw the first goring death in nearly 15 years. The victim was a 27-year-old Spaniard who was gashed in the neck in Friday's run.
Two people gored Sunday remain in intensive care.
