Why it's a deal: For comparison's sake, it's a good idea to price out your desired itinerary on Kayak before booking the All Asia Pass. The more far-flung your destination choice, the more savings this deal will offer.

For instance, an L.A.-Kuala Lumpur-Hong Kong-Osaka-L.A. ticket, when looking on Kayak for travel in mid-September, would cost $1,891 on Japan Airlines. With the All Asia Pass from Cathay, you'll spend about $1,697—a savings of $194.

Travelers from the East Coast will save significantly more; the same multicity fare from New York City booked through Kayak costs about $3,139 on multiple airlines—a savings of $1,442 when compared with the air pass.

More: Add $300 for each additional stop in Asia (up to two). There are 24 "basic destinations" that are included in the base price. For $150 more, you can add a one-way flight to one of 25 "add-on cities", such as Beijing and Delhi.
