Why it's a deal: According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest round-trip fare between New York City and Paris is $563 with taxes for departures in early September (Swiss). For an additional $1,028, this American Airlines Vacations package covers the international airfare, as well as six nights' accommodations, breakfast daily, round-trip airport-hotel transfers, three sightseeing activities, fuel surcharges, and all taxes.

According to American Airlines, this package represents a savings of up to 10 percent compared to the cost of booking all the inclusions separately.
