Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo call it quits

LOS ANGELES - Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have broken up, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another,” Minnillo’s rep told Access.

Despite rumors of an impending break-up, earlier this month the actress told People that she and Lachey were “very much still on.”

According to a magazine source, they are “still friends” and “it was the right thing for both of them to do.”

Lachey, 35, and Minnillo, 28, began dating in 2006.
