The deal
The rough economy is no to reason to skip a vacation this year, according to low-cost Las Vegas based airline, Allegiant Air. The airline is making a summer getaway to the Sunshine State a little bit easier with its new “Perfect Excuse” Florida fare sale.
Flights are available from 30 popular U.S. cities from as little as $29 each way. Allegiant flies to Orlando, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale, and Tampa. Although travel is valid through January, tickets must be booked by June 24.

Allegiant Air is offering the follow low fares to Florida from:
• Columbia, S.C.: $29
• Wilmington, N.C.: $39
• Elmira, N.Y.: $69
• Knoxville, Tenn.: $49
• Toledo, Ohio: $59

Fares listed are each way and do not include taxes and fees. Holiday blackout days apply.
The catch
Pack light. Baggage fees are $15 for the first bag and $25 for the second when checked online, or $25 and $35 respectively, when checked at the gate.
