The head of NBC’s reality programming has come down on Spencer and Heidi Pratt for their antics on “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” this week, and promised they will be put through a trial.

“They are everything that’s wrong with America,” executive vice president of alternative programming for NBC and Universal Media Studios, Paul Telegdy, said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “They are insincere, lazy, entitled and they claim the devil has possessed them.”

Since “I’m A Celebrity…” premiered on Monday, Spencer and Heidi have subversively attempted to promote a shampoo line she is set to launch, quit three times, and sent decoys to LAX airport when they decided to beg their way back into the jungle. Additionally, Spencer asked castmate Stephen Baldwin to baptize him in the stream when he was still on the show, slammed the status of their fellow celebrities, compared he and his wife to Brangelina in terms of fame, and later, Heidi blamed “the devil” for the attention-loving couple quitting the show.

On Wednesday evening, show co-host Mylene Klass told the couple that in order to come back on the summer reality program, two conditions must be met. First, the Pratts must spend the night in the lost chamber — a building filled with rats, snakes and insects. Second, they must be voted back in by the remaining jungle dwellers.

The vote will air on Thursday night’s show.

And Telegdy said the newlyweds, from MTV’s “The Hills,” are about to have the rug ripped out from under them in their bid to get back on the show.

“They are back and this time they are contrite… Yeah, right,” he said. “What they don’t realize is that they are now going to be examined and their value system utterly deconstructed. They are going to spend the night somewhere in isolation and guarded with lots of surprises… These people really are going to bare their souls.”

Heidi Pratt told Klass on Wednesday’s show that the couple realized they need to be back on the show for the charities they chose to support, in her case Feed the Children and in Spencer’s, the Red Cross.

However, after Spencer quit the show, the Red Cross asked that their name be removed from the show’s Web site. On Thursday, Access contacted Life Rolls On, a spinal cord injury charity Spencer tweeted about on Wednesday. A rep for the group confirmed they were in talks to be Spencer’s new charity, should he pass the test and return to the show.
