Susan Boyle’s real dream? Her own reality show

YouTube sensation Susan Boyle is set to return to the “Britain’s Got Talent” stage next week, and although she’s already proven that she has a voice worthy of a singing career, that isn’t necessarily what she’s aiming for.

“Susan would be perfectly happy with a lucrative reality show,” said a source who knows Boyle. “She’d love to win (‘Britain’s Got Talent’), but there are no guarantees of success with a singing career. If she got a really good reality show deal she could have a nice savings and go back to the life she was living before all of this happened.”

Boyle admitted to Oprah Winfrey that she didn’t necessarily think she was going to win the competition.

“Well, I’ve the chance but at the same time, there’s a lot of other talent in the competition,” Boyle told Winfrey and Simon Cowell during her May 11 appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

NY ‘Housewives’ will receive $30K per show
A source close to “The Real Housewives of New York” says the women on the show have settled on a salary for the third season, and few details stand in the way of formalizing the deal.

“All of the wives are expected back, and their paycheck is upwards of $30,000 per episode,” said the source.

The sticking point appears to be the men. “The husbands get nothing, but they’re part of the show,” said the source. “Ramona (Singer’s) husband is definitely part of the effort to get something.”

Michael Moore tackles capitalism

A full year after Michael Moore announced he was working on a documentary about capitalism, the film has been given a release date of Oct. 2, 2009.

There’s no title yet, but Moore, whose last film was the healthcare industry expose “Sicko,” said, "The wealthy, at some point, decided they didn't have enough wealth. They wanted more — a lot more. So they systematically set about to fleece the American people out of their hard-earned money. Now, why would they do this? That is what I seek to discover in this movie."

Overture films and Paramount Vantage are behind the project.

Weekend box office
This Memorial Day weekend could be a record-breaking one at the box office. Not only are there two blockbusters being released, “Terminator Salvation” and “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” but “Star Trek” and “Angels & Demons” are both still performing well enough to make this a $200 million four-day weekend.

As for which new release will take over the number one spot, I give it to “Terminator Salvation.” It did get a head start over “Night at the Museum” by opening on Thursday but “Terminator” is also accounting for more than 60 percent of advance ticket sales according to several online sellers. Look for it to take in as much as $85 million.

Second place goes to “Night at the Museum,” even though it is opening in 4,096 theaters as oppose to “Terminator’s” 3,530. On any other weekend, “Night at the Museum” would take first place, but this film will have a long shelf life, which should be a consolation.
