LONDON - The leafy English village of Linkenholt with its 21 cottages and a manor house has found a buyer.

Real estate agent Tim Sherston said Thursday that the village, which had an asking price of 23 million pounds ($35 million) and was for sale as a whole, is off the market. But he could not say who the buyer was nor how much was paid because of a confidentiality agreement.

Linkenholt is about 70 miles west of London. The village is made up of 21 cottages, a manor house, plus a cricket pitch and accompanying pavilion. There are also 1,500 acres of farmland and 425 acres of woods.
