With all the recent commotion surrounding Mexico, it’s no surprise that airlines are trying to encourage travelers to other beach destinations in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Bermuda. Our editors have found tempting fare sales on Continental, American Airlines, JetBlue, and Caribbean Air starting from as little as $79 each way.

JetBlue offers $79 fares to the Bahamas
Nassau, Bahamas is often a quick stopover on many cruise itineraries, but in order to truly take in all that this vacation hot spot has to offer, you’ll need to spend a few days on the island.

There’s an endless list of things to do, from swimming with dolphins, betting the odds in Vegas-style casinos, or snorkeling in the crystal-clear water. JetBlue is offering flights from New York City starting from just $79 each way! Travel is available from through June 24, but tickets must me booked by May 8.

$99 Caribbean and Bermuda summer fares on AA
For a quick getaway from New York, try a $99 one-way fare to the pink-sand beaches of Bermuda. Or, take off from D.C. to worry-free Jamaica from $111, or from Greensboro to the Cayman Islands for $128.

This special offer from American Airlines is valid for travel through September 30, but tickets must be booked by May 12.

$89 fares to Trinidad and Tobago
Caribbean Airlines is offering low-priced fares to Trinidad and Tobago from New York, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale.

Fares from Miami and Fort Lauderdale start at $89 each way (or $117 including taxes), and fares from New York are available from $109, (or $152 with taxes). Travel is valid on select periods through January 2010.

Continental’s Caribbean Fares from $104
If you’d rather head to San Juan, Punta Cana, Aruba, and more, check out the fares offered by Continental Airlines. Snag a flight to Puerto Rico from just $104 (one-way) from New York, or try a flight to Punta Cana from just $174.

Fares are also available from Denver to Grand Cayman, San Antonio to Aruba, and more.
