It's hard to believe such a big voice could come from such a tiny young person, but 15-year-old Canadian jazz-pop singer Nikki Yanofsky can belt it out with the best of them, earning her comparisons to both Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. At the age of 12, she became the youngest person to headline the Montreal International Jazz Festival; and now, with a new album due out this spring, she's poised to make a name for herself here. Check out our recent interview and her rendition of "I Got Rhythm" below. You'll also find our previous interviews with Deer Tick (I'm the one not wearing flannel) and Tony Dekker of Great Lakes Swimmers—and I've posted some music that's been around awhile that might deserve a listen.  Enjoy.
