Msnbc.com is named America’s #1 news site for 10th consecutive month
Nearly 40 million unique visitors turn to site for “A Fuller Spectrum of News”

REDMOND, Wash. - For the tenth consecutive month, msnbc.com beat both CNN.com and Yahoo! News and was named the #1 Current Events and Global News Site according to Nielsen Online. In March, msnbc.com attracted 39.9 million unique visitors as consumers turned to the site for a fuller spectrum of news, including expansive coverage of the economy, breaking news stories, lifestyle features and the latest sports updates.
Msnbc.com March Highlights:
- Msnbc.com had 39.9 million unique visitors in March – a 5% lead over Yahoo! News (37.9 million) and 3% more than CNN.com (38.7 million).*
- Msnbc.com's year-over-year increase in unique visitors was 9%, while CNN.com experienced a 4% increase.*
- Msnbc.com had more than 113 million online video streams in March, a 23% increase over the previous month.**
