LOS ANGELES - A court commissioner has issued a three-year restraining order against a Florida man who police say tried to break onto the “Dancing With the Stars” set to meet Shawn Johnson.
Robert O’Ryan has been in custody since last month, when police say the 34-year-old jumped a fence at the Los Angeles studio lot of the popular dancing competition. Court records state a search of O’Ryan’s car turned up loaded guns, duct tape and love letters to Johnson, a 17-year-old Olympic gold medalist.
The order approved Tuesday morning is meant to prevent O’Ryan from contacting Johnson or her family for three years.
O’Ryan remains jailed on $220,000 bail and was not represented in court. Johnson’s parents appeared but were not required to testify.
