LOS ANGELES - John Mayer is not writing a tell-all book about his time with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.

On Wednesday, Star Magazine reported that rocker Mayer was going to be writing a “no-holds-barred book — including the night Jen called him ‘Brad’ in bed.”

“John just can’t keep his mouth shut,” a pal allegedly told the mag. “And he’s telling friends that he’s thinking of going public with all the their juicy secrets.”

But as the story broke, Mayer’s rep quickly issued a statement slamming the report.

“It is Star Magazine that is ‘THE RAT’ and they should be ashamed of the disgusting story they’ve written,” Mayer's rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

Mayer is currently at work on the studio album follow up to 2006’s “Continuum.”
