“The house is on a cul-de-sac. It’s safe. It’s about 2,800 square feet, four bedrooms. I don’t want anyone to know where we are. I have trust issues. I know there are a lot of emotionally disturbed people,” Suleman said in the first of a series of exclusive blog posts for Radaronline.com.
The video portion of the blog, live as of 9 a.m. ET on March 3, shows Suleman struggling to speak as one of her older six kids bites her, pulls her hair and slaps her in the face. Suleman said her older children are already jealous of the octuplets. When a friend showed the kids a picture of their new siblings, “they hit the picture,” Suleman said.
Other news revealed in the blog: Suleman wants to go off food stamps. “My goal is not to be a burden on any taxpayer,” she said.
Tom and Katie’s date night security sweep
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes recently went to dinner at L.A. eatery Il Sole with Holmes’ “All My Sons” co-star John Lithgow and his wife Mary Yeager. While the restaurant is used to seeing its fair share of A-listers, it wasn’t accustomed to the security sweep that went along with it.
“Their team came and planned an entrance and exit strategy — in other words they scoped out the back door — and they tried to photo-proof the restaurant as much as possible,” said a source with knowledge of the sweep, “I have never heard of a celeb doing that at the restaurant before.”
In case you were curious, Cruise and Lithgow split the bill, though they “didn’t order much,” according to the source. “They shared steak tartare and pasta. Katie didn’t say much throughout the meal, but Tom was in great spirits. In fact, as (Tom, Katie and Bella Cruise, who was also there) exited out the back door of the restaurant, Tom popped his head into the kitchen to shake hands and thank the chef and kitchen crew.”
Vanity Fair puts comics on cover
Comedy is doing well on television and in the theaters, but will it translate to magazine sales? Vanity Fair hopes so.

“Brother, Can You Spare a Laugh,” the cover line, is an obvious nod to the economy, but despite the dire financial climate, VF was one of the few magazines to see an increase in newsstand sales in the back half of 2008. It will be interesting to see if the smart, but decidedly not flashy, cover can pick up enough sales in tough times to prove that the risk of going clever was worth it.
