‘Gilmore’ daughter dons scrubs for ‘ER’ finale

Alexis Bledel will play new intern when series ends on April 2

LOS ANGELES - Alexis Bledel is trading in her “Traveling Pants” for hospital scrubs.

The former “Gilmore Girls” and “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” star will return to TV for the first time in two years to guest-star on the series finale of NBC’s “ER,” People reported.

She’ll be playing a new intern, Dr. Julia Wise, in the April 2 episode.

Alexis is the latest guest to join the medical drama’s final season — Susan Sarandon and returning “ER” alumna Julianna Margulies will be appearing in the show’s March 12 episode.

George Clooney, who filmed his “ER” comeback this past January on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles, is rumored to be appearing in the March 12 episode as well.
