Why is Kevin Federline breaking into the children’s clothing business? In part because he’s tired of paying for overpriced jeans for his kids Jayden, age 2, and Preston, 3.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Federline dropped by the Project Trade show in Las Vegas Feb. 24 to research kids' clothing styles in the hopes of starting his own line.

“It’s a really tough business, I’m trying to take it seriously and make a quality product for kids but not have parents pay like $500 or something ridiculous for a pair of jeans,” Federline told WWD. “You buy your kids a pair of True Religions, then they roll around in the dirt like kids do and a $200 pair of jeans is gone. With this economy, I’m looking to do something much more reasonable.”

Simpson not quitting tour
Jessica Simpson’s boots may be made for walking, but they’re not walking off the Rascal Flatts tour anytime soon.

“There’s no truth at all to the idea that she’s leaving the tour. She’s having a great time,” confirms one of Simpson’s reps. “She’s on tour until it wraps.”

Rumors that Simpson was decamping began to gather steam after many of the weekly magazines speculated that she was unhappy with her performances at the shows.

Another source confirms that it’s simply not the case: “There’s no drama at all (on tour). She loves embarking on a country career; the tour is a great fit for where she is right now. It’s going great for her. This really needs to stop.”

File this under the TMI category: Rosie O’Donnell is going through menopause. But at least she has Madonna to guide her through the journey, Us Weekly reports.

“When I started having my hormone things, I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on?’” O’Donnell said on "The Tyra Banks Show." She added that Madonna e-mailed advice.

Madge is in a good place to dispense tips for feeling young. At 50, the singer is still dating 22-year-old model Jesus Luz.

“She’s back in ‘Madonna wants to have fun’ mode!” singer Nick Scotti, 42, told Us Weekly. He should know: Circa 1991, Scotti was Madonna's boytoy of choice.

Julianna Marguiles talks Clooney and ‘ER’ return
“I said from the beginning I would come back if George came back. But I was pretty sure George wasn’t going to come back,” Julianna Marguiles, aka "ER's" Nurse Carol Hathaway, tells TV Guide.

True enough. Clooney’s rep assured Scoop time and again during the months leading to the announcement of his return that Clooney hadn’t been asked to rejoin the show. Marguiles says she made an effort to try to keep the return quiet because “neither George nor I wanted to sit on talk shows getting people to watch the final episode of ‘ER’ … it’s the last thing George needs.”
