LUDLOW, Vt. - Some residents in Ludlow, Vt., have gotten early Valentine's Day presents. Their homes have been decorated with brightly colored hearts.

The hearts are made out of cloth and strung together. Someone has been going around to homes stringing them up on trees.

Ralph Pace discovered the brightly colored cloth hearts on Monday. He soon found out that others in the area had been given the early Valentine's present.

"What a wonderful thing for somebody to do," said Janet Pace.

Heartfelt displays have been popping up on trees in Plymouth, Proctorsville and Ludlow.

"I have no idea who put them here but they're very nice," said Jim Proctor.

While the mystery gift-giver hasn't come forward, there does seem to be a connection between all the lucky loved ones.

According to Ralph Pace, the people who got the hearts are all members of the same church in Ludlow.
