‘90210’ star in talks for ‘New Moon’ role

AnnaLynne McCord plays “90210’s” resident vamp, but is the actress about to sink her teeth into a small — but sexy — role in the upcoming sequel to “Twilight?”

McCord is being considered for the small character Heidi in “New Moon,” according to E! Online’s Marc Malkin.

Though just a minor character, McCord would play a “fisher,” someone who lures humans to the bloodthirsty Volturi vampires. The Heidi character is described in the book as “bait,” because of her ability to ensnare unsuspecting individuals into the vampires’ human feast.

In the book, Bella refers to Heidi as having “exceptional, unforgettable” beauty.

“It’s not a big part,” a source told Malkin. “Heidi would be more like a cameo.”

McCord’s “90210” co-star Kellan Lutz, who starred as Emmett in “Twilight,” is returning for the vampire sequel.
