What do Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie and attention-seeking reality TV regular Paris Hilton have in common? It’s hard to say, but according to Hilton, they have their similarities. That’s why the star of MTV’s “My New BFF” picked Jolie as her dream pal.

“I love Angelina Jolie,” the heiress told Fabulous magazine. “She's strong but gorgeous and uses her fame for good to make a big difference in the world. That's a great quality. I'd have a lot in common with her.”

Hmm. Unless Hilton’s been hiding loads of globe-trotting humanitarian work, it’s hard to imagine she shares much more with Jolie than the nearly universal crush on Brad Pitt.

Liam Neeson bucks Baldwin’s horse stance
Celebrity feud watchers might want to keep an eye out on Liam Neeson and Alec Baldwin. Though the actors haven’t officially declared a war of words, Baldwin’s bound to react badly when he hears Neeson’s latest pet cause.

The potential problem for the pair comes courtesy of Manhattan’s horse-drawn carriage controversy. Last year Baldwin teamed up with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to convince New York City officials to consider placing a ban on what he considers a cruel equine practice.

Now, in a letter posted to Irish Echo, Neeson’s reaching out to officials himself. Only the “The Other Man” actor wants to protect the horse-drawn carriage industry, not the horses.

“As a horse lover and rider, I am deeply disturbed by the unnecessary and misguided political and extreme rhetoric against the horse-drawn carriage industry and feel obliged to counter this action,” Neeson wrote. “The horse-drawn carriage business is an iconic part of this city, employing hundreds of dedicated, hard-working men and women, caring for well-bred, well-trained horses and attracting tourists to New York City for over 100 years.”

Though Neeson never addressed Baldwin by name, he did include one swipe the other actor might take personally.

“The notion that a well-nourished horse pulling a carriage through Central Park is considered cruelty may fit in with animal activists' extremist view, but not with the rest of us,” Neeson added.

Dish on the fly
Kissing Kate Winslet isn’t exactly thrilling for her two-time co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. “I was entirely too used to that from doing that film (Titanic) with her, so to me it was very natural,” DiCaprio told the Daily Mail after his latest Winslet lip lock for their new film “Revolutionary Road.” According to the actor, “In a twisted way it's like kissing a family member.” … “Lost” star Evangeline Lilly is in no hurry to act again once the island mystery ends. “Writing is my first and foremost passion - I can't stop writing,” the actress who plays Kate on the hit drama told the National Enquirer. “I would never say I'll never act again. But it's definitely not my priority.” ... “Girl Next Door” Kendra Wilkinson regrets telling Us Weekly that she cheated on her former main man, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. “I'm really bad at interviews, and anyone who knows me knew I meant no harm...I'm a goofball,” she explained to E! News. “Mostly, I'm very sorry to have hurt Hef ... Playboy made me who I am, and Hef has done more for me than anyone else.” Sounds like someone remembered who signs the paychecks.
