Want to win an all-expense-paid trip to the inauguration? The next winner could be you.
Just ask Cynthia Russell, a Gainesville, Fla., homebuilder who scored the first of 10 pairs of tickets to the Jan. 20 event. With her winning essay entry, Russell and and her beau Chris Buffington snagged much-sought hotel accommodations in Washington to go with tickets to the welcoming ceremony, Obama’s swearing-in, the Inaugural Parade and the inaugural ball.
For your chance to win a pair of golden tickets, fill out the entry form at the inaugural committee Web site. But the window for entering and writing an essay is fast closing; entries must be submitted by midnight Thursday.
The Obama camp says that donations to the inaugural committee are encouraged but not required to enter the contest.
