With Owen Wilson, Dax Shepard and Lance Armstrong among her ex-boyfriends, actress Kate Hudson’s enjoyed enviable romances with her fair share charismatic hunks. But in an interview with Elle magazine, the “Bride Wars” star admits there were a few duds along the way.

“I’ve been on so many bad dates,” Hudson confessed. “I went on one where I just left because he was so boring. I felt really bad, and I didn’t want him to pay for dinner. It’s like, ‘It’s really nice to meet you’ – moving on! Then you call your friend and you’re like, ‘Really? Really? Is that who you think I would have a great night with?!’”

Despite a handful the dating disasters, Hudson couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the opposite sex. Even at 29, she’s still firmly in her “boy crazy” years.

“When I was a teenager, like, when I turned 16, I loved boys,” she explained. “That was just my thing. My mom was like, ‘Oh boy, she loves boys!’ I always loved boys. I still love boys.”

Paltrow’s plan to shed pounds
Celebrities may gain weight like the rest of us, but they don’t always lose it the same way. Take Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress and creator of GOOP.com sent out a newsletter detailing her unique plan to battle the post-holiday bulge.

“I need to lose a few pounds of holiday excess,” Paltrow explained. “I like to do fasts and detoxes a couple of times during the year, the most hardcore one being the Master Cleanse I did last spring. It was not what you would characterize as pretty. Or easy.”

Rather than going the lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper route this time, Paltrow and her detox diet doctor came up with a plan allows the star to eat real foods. That is, if she can find any that aren’t on the forbidden list.

The nutritional no-nos include fatty nuts, tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers, processed foods, cheese, milk, meat, shellfish, sugar, gluten grains, soy and any items containing caffeine or alcohol.

Sounds tasty!

Dish on the fly
When the expected release date of Courtney Love’s new album came and went without a CD in sight, fans voiced their disappointment on the singer’s blog. That’s when Love dispatched the “Head Administrator of her MySpace” to explain the delay. Seems “paranormal technical issues” at the recording studio slowed things down. Who knows what that means, but fans need not worry. After all, according to the “Head Administrator,” Love has the resources to get the album out whenever she’s happy with the final product. “Courtney has 30 million dollars in sponsorships, from a prominent feminine hygiene/menstrual company and a prominent tequila company.” Sounds about right. … While Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s nearly 1-year-old daughter Harlow won’t be dating any time soon, her overprotective uncle, Benji Madden, is ready for the future. “I’m going to be keeping a close eye on her,” the Good Charlotte guitarist told People magazine. “I’ll leave the shotgun right by the door.”
