LOS ANGELES - Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell have two new additions to the family. The couple welcomed twin girls just before the New Year, Access Hollywood has learned.
“Rebecca gave birth on Dec. 28 to two healthy daughters, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip,” a representative for the actress told Access.
“Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well,” the rep added.
In July 2008, O’Connell gushed about the possibility of becoming a father, telling Us Weekly, “It would be amazing if it happened. I hope it does happen!”
The actor met Romijn in 2004 at a party and proposed a year later. They married in July 2007.
Romijn, who most recently starred on ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” asked to be written off for most of this season of the comedy in order to focus on her impending first-time motherhood.
The twins are the couple’s first children.
