Msnbc.com is named America’s #1 news site for six consecutive months

Year-over-year growth up 41%, double that of CNN.com and Yahoo! News

REDMOND, Wash. - For the sixth consecutive month, msnbc.com beat both CNN.com and Yahoo! News and was named the #1 Current Events and Global News Site according to Nielsen Online.  In November, msnbc.com attracted more than 41.8 million unique visitors as consumers turned to the site for its extensive coverage of the historic presidential election.  Consumers were engaged with the site’s latest breaking news and innovative tools on the "Decision '08 Dashboard" in addition to original stories, in-depth analysis, and compelling NBC News video.

Msnbc.com November Highlights:   

· Msnbc.com had more than 41.8 million unique visitors in November, topping both Yahoo! News and CNN.com.*
