MIAMI - An armored truck company is offering $20,000 for information on two gunmen who shot and killed a guard in a busy suburban Miami mall.

The Dunbar armored truck company named the guard Tuesday as 51-year-old Carlos Alvarado.

It's unclear whether the men took any money.

Witnesses heard numerous gunshots and saw shoppers screaming and running through the mall, which is about 15 miles southwest of downtown Miami.

Another person was hurt in the shooting but the person's identity and specific injury have not been released.

Jennie Block, 59, was shopping for clothes when she said she heard about 10 gunshots from a nearby store. "There was screaming and yelling and chaos," she said.

"We are shocked and saddened by this tragic crime," said Lydia Gilmore, spokeswoman for Simon Property Group, which owns the mall. "Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim."
