WESTPORT, Conn. - Paul Newman has left the assets to his wife, the Oscars to his foundation and the race cars to the highest bidder.

A will made public this week shows that Newman, who died in September, left his personal property, including real estate, to Joanne Woodward.

The 10-time Academy Award nominee, who won one Oscar and took home two honorary ones, left those statues and other awards to the Newman’s Own Foundation. Interest in Newman’s Own and Salad King also went to the foundation, which will distribute all profits to charity.

The will also directed that his airplane and race cars be sold, with proceeds going to his estate.

Signed April 11, Newman’s will was filed in Connecticut and was first reported by radaronline.com.
