Sienna Miller, Balthazar Getty have split

LONDON - Sienna Miller and Balthazar Getty have split, the actress confirmed to Us Weekly on Friday.

“I’m single at the moment, and I’m completely happy with that,” she told the magazine at the Hollywood Dominoes VIP launch in London. “It’s nice not to have a relationship that the press constantly want to scrutinize and discuss. I’m cool with being on my own.”

Sienna drew heat — and a constant horde of paparazzi photographers — after being photographed topless, kissing the married “Brothers and Sisters” star on a boat in Italy in July. Following the incident, Getty quickly issued a statement claiming he was separated from his wife, Rosetta.

“The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience especially when children are involved,” the “Brothers & Sisters” star said in the statement, released to Access Hollywood in July.

“In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the Internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes indeed, my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further,” his statement continued.

Miller later sued the agency that snapped the photographs for harassment, according to the Guardian.

Despite the lawsuit, the attention on the couple continued. In the weeks following their summer vacation, paparazzi attention became so bad that at one point, the actress drove to the Beverly Hills Police Station to ask for an escort, the Daily Telegraph reported in August.

Getty, who was also swarmed by paparazzi over the last several months, told Access in September that it had become “dangerous.”

“Someone’s going to get hurt,” he told Access. “When they’re endangering people and they’re breaking laws and they’re, you know, exploiting kids and personal stories… I think somebody in government needs to set up some sort of boundaries because it’s really dangerous.”
