“I’m so excited (about turning 16),” Lohan told Life & Style. “I always ask my mom, ‘Can I drive your car in the parking lot?’ And she’s like, ‘No.’
Lohan has another two years before she’ll be able to get a learner’s permit, but she told the magazine she’s got her first car picked out. “I want a BMW truck!”
She might be planning on chipping in for gas money though — Lohan recently filed paperwork in L.A. County Superior Court for a work permit to allow her to record with Maloof Music producers.
The Maloof family owns the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, which was often the setting for Ali and her mom Dina's reality show “Living Lohan,” which also happened to be a Maloof production.
Tina Fey retiring her Palin

The Hollywood Insider reports what we all saw coming: Fey has to go back to her real life, and real job. “I have to retire just because I have to do my day job,” say the “30 Rock” star. “I think (Kristen) Wiig would do a really good job.”
As for whether there’ll be an official Palin torch-passing, Fey says, “Maybe we could get a real torch. Or I could give Wiig the Palin wig.”
Posh doesn’t want David to leave
Will the Beckhams pack their bags and head back to Europe? Not if Victoria has her way. Though reps confirm that her husband, David, 33, will remain under contract with the L.A. Galaxy, they also confirm he'll play for AC Milan in Italy for three months starting this January. A permanent move, if that goes well, isn't totally out of the question.

The insider says that Posh is urging her husband to stay with the L.A. Galaxy and ignore other offers, but adds, “Nothing has been decided yet. Victoria really loves the California sunshine and is happy.”
Lynne Spears books sales: solid
In other celebrity mother-daughter news, sales of Lynne Spears' new book “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World” are solid, despite early fears from Spears’ family friends who didn't think she had enough time to work on the book between her daughter Britney's breakdowns and Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy.
It appears, though, the fears are mostly unfounded. “Through the Storm” debuted at No. 5 on the New York Times Best Seller list, and according to one publishing industry insider who spoke to Life & Style, the book has sold about 19,000 copies.
That number is “not a huge hit, but it’s pretty good. Any author would be happy with that,” the source told the magazine.
