The Scoop
It’s tough to know whether this is good news or bad: a sitcom starring Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears is not in the works.

While you might have been busy watching the new voting PSA starring Leonardo DiCaprio, a rumor that HBO was working on a sitcom that would star Spears, Hilton and Lohan playing versions of themselves began to circulate.

Among the most intriguing details of the rumor: “Lindsay will be a little like Joey from ‘Friends.’”

When asked if there was truth to any part of this story, Lohan’s rep Leslie Sloane was the first to respond with “none at all.”

So what's really next for the threesome?

Hilton is focusing on the release of her new film “Repo! The Genetic Opera,” Spears is putting final touches on her new album “Circus,” and Lohan’s got her line of leggings. Lohan’s rep didn’t respond with any info about future singing or acting projects in the works.

Everything's not OK at OK!
Given the rampant staff cuts among magazines in and outside the celebrity genre, it doesn’t come as a surprise to hear that magazine-buyers are cutting back as well.

But according to some industry insiders, OK! might be the hardest-hit magazine of all.

“Their circulation has been steadily declining,” says an industry source. “Every single week there’s been a significant drop in sales. They dipped below 300,000 in sales last week. It’s  really bad, especially for (new general manager) Kent (Brownridge) who was brought in to save money, not sell fewer copies.”

The tepid-at-best sales have some speculating that Brownridge, who has only been on the masthead since September, could be on his way out of OK! sooner rather than later.

A spokesperson for OK! didn’t comment about the magazine’s sales numbers, but did issue a statement that implied Brownridge's job isn't in danger.

“As the New York Post reported last week, we are on track on budget and will be profitable next year," the statement said. "Rumors abound in this business lately and much of them are unfounded. What is clear is that OK! is on the ascent and our new leadership is part of that success.”

Hasselbeck finds speaking up 'easy'
She might get more death threats than anyone else on “The View,” but Elisabeth Hasselbeck is comfortable being the lone conservative voice at America’s breakfast table.

Scoop on Tom Arnold's new film
Oct. 30: Courtney Hazlett and Morning Joe's Willie Geist talk with actor-comedian Tom Arnold, to takes a turn for the serious in "Gardens of the Night."
On the subject of being vocal about her political opinions, the “View” co-host told Us Weekly, “I find it easy, it’s what I believe.”

Her husband Tim told the magazine that the call to stump for Sarah Palin came via cell phone, from the hockey mom herself. “We were watching Monday Night Football, her cell phone rang, and it was Governor Palin," he said. "Obviously, she was excited.”

‘Idol’ David Cook finds love with another 'Idol'
“American Idol” finalists have been largely unlucky when it comes to post-show commercial success, but season seven winner David Cook, who is about to begin promoting his self-titled major-label debut, has a good luck charm to accompany him — second-season finalist Kimberly Caldwell.

The two have been dating since Cook asked Caldwell out in May, and Cook told In Touch Weekly, "as long as I don't screw it up, hopefully she'll be around to hear a lot more of my songs."

She’ll likely be on hand for Cook’s first major promotional appearance for his new album Nov. 2 on “Saturday Night Live.”
