‘Eli Stone’ star calls Katie Holmes ‘awesome’

They’ve already wrapped the taping of Katie Holmes’ appearance on the new season of “Eli Stone,” but the cast can’t stop raving about her guest spot.

“She is amazing in the show,” Jonny Lee Miller, who plays the title character, told Access Hollywood at the Runway for Life event benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals over the weekend. “She was just a really, really nice person to have around. Really great work ethic. She was awesome.”

Fans of the show won’t be able to check out Holmes’ entire appearance on the show until Oct. 21.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Holmes sings and dances in the episode, and wowed Miller on set with her skills.

“She has a fantastic voice and she has an amazing number,” Miller said.

But Holmes won’t be the only guest star to feature on the show’s second series. Miller revealed another sexy brunette actress stopped by to film a cameo recently.

“We’ve got some pretty good guest stars going on,” he said. “They’ve all been so sweet and excited to be on our show. We’re just blown away by it. We get like, you know, Sigourney Weaver shows up. I’m doing scenes with her and she is happy to be there and I can’t believe it.”

“Eli Stone” returns to ABC on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
