Move over, Tina! Palin may appear on ‘SNL’

If you’re among those who speculate that the only thing better than Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night Live” would be Sarah Palin making a cameo on the show, there might be hope yet.

If the buzz is to be believed, the NBC show is working to get the vice-presidential candidate and Alaska governor on air before the election.

Although “Saturday Night Live,” like many other shows, doesn’t comment specifically on bookings, a rep said, “There are always talks with the candidates' camps.”

There’s also some buzz about Palin making an appearance on “The View.”

Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain have both made appearances, and “View” executive producer Bill Geddie says, “‘The View’ has established itself as a place to be seen for both the presidential and VP candidates, their wives and/or husbands and they all have an open invitation to appear on the show.’”

No new boyfriend for Star
Tyler Perry opened his own motion picture and television studio in Atlanta on Oct. 4, and among the news to come out during the opening weekend’s events was word that Star Jones had a new boyfriend with her.

“She was there with a new guy and making out,” claimed one observer.

Don’t get too excited though; a rep for Jones says “it’s not true.”

Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Sidney Poitier and John Legend were also on hand for the studio’s opening.

More celeb judges for ‘Project Runway’
It was already reported that Lindsay Lohan would be joining “Project Runway” as a judge for its sixth season, which is filming in L.A. Now word comes that "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria will be guest judging as well.

“(Longoria) is absolutely going to be on the new season, and she’s delighted about it,” Life and Style magazine quotes an insider as saying.

And if you were wondering what Lohan’s connection to the show might be, Life and Style spoke to her rep who said the show was a fit, “especially given her love of fashion and her new leggings line, 6126.”

Nicole Kidman opens up about marriage to Tom
Maybe it’s married life. Ever since Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban said I do, Kidman has been much more forthcoming about her personal life.

The latest installment of the Kidman chronicles appears in the November issue of Elle magazine.

On the subject of being married to Urban as opposed to Tom Cruise, she said, “I didn’t foresee it, that you can meet somebody who you have a deep and more profound love with... I don’t mean to take away anything with Tom, but I would hope that he has the same thing — I know he has the same thing with Katie. You move into a stage where you’re able to be a more fuller person in your relationship.”

Celebrity sightings
Khloe Kardashian was spotted dancing with friends at Missy Elliot's Oct. 4 performance at the Pepsi Smash concert at New York City's Nokia Theater in Time Square. ... Mario Lopez celebrated his birthday Oct. 3 at The Bank nightclub in Las Vegas. Lopez and his guys-only entourage took over a corner table in the VIP section and partied till the wee hours of the morning. Mariah Carey was there the following night, Oct. 4. … Katy Perry was spotted shopping at Mulberry on Melrose place Oct. 3. Selena Gomez was spotted shopping at American Eagle Sept. 29 before catching a flight back to L.A. Debra Messing was sipping zero calorie Tava while picking up the new Klipsch Image earphones at a private event at the Four Seasons Hotel in L.A.  Rosie Perez grabbed a bite to eat at the Northstar Café in Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 4. Luke Wilson was also in Ohio on Oct. 5. Both were in town for an Obama rally.
