Britney to appear on Simon’s ‘X-Factor’

Britney Spears is taking her show on the road — all the way overseas.

According to a report by British tabloid The Sun, Spears will be performing her new single, “Womanizer,” on Simon Cowell’s U.K. reality show “The X Factor.”

The appearance is reportedly set to happen in December.

“Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney involved is a massive coup. They expect ratings to go through the roof when her performance airs,” a source close to the show reportedly told The Sun.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, reps for Spears were not immediately available for comment on the report.

If true, the gig would be Spears’ first performance in the UK since she brought her Onyx Hotel tour there four years ago.

In related news, a clip of “Womanizer” has reportedly been leaked online, according to various reports. A Nashville radio station, 107.5 The River, posted a clip of the song on Friday, however it has since taken it down.

Britney’s new album, “Circus,” is slated to drop on Dec. 2 — the same day as Spears’ 27^th birthday.
