LOS ANGELES - “American Gladiators” co-host Laila Ali has given birth to her first child.
Curtis Muhammad Conway, who takes his first name from his father, Laila’s husband Curtis Conway, and his middle name from his grandfather, Muhammad Ali, weighed in at 6.8 lbs. He measured 19 inches long at birth, the boxing beauty noted on her Web site.
Curtis was born on Tuesday and will be raised Green-friendly, according to Laila.
“I am trying to stick to products that are earth friendly and free of chemicals that can be harmful to children,” Laila previously wrote on her blog in the run up to Curtis’ birth. “I am trying to follow the advice I have learned in books such as Raising Baby Green. It is not always easy so I am taking it slow.”
Laila announced her pregnancy in Essence magazine in March.
“I don’t know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I’m excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created,” she told the magazine.
