Well, at least we know she wasn’t lip synching.
Jessica Simpson halted a performance on live TV on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, as she took to the stage to perform her hit song “With You.”
After being introduced by “GMA” hosts Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts, Simpson addressed her fans.
“Thank you guys for making this song number one,” she said.
The band then started to play “With You,” before Simpson put the brakes on her performance after the first few lines.
“Hold on,” Simpson said, bringing the music, her background singers and the crowd to a silent stop. “I know this is live TV, but I can’t hear anything. Do it again!”
As the Times Square crowd looked on in silence, the blond bombshell then counted down for her band to start again.
“You got it? There you go!” Simpson said, as she launched into her quadruple platinum single.
The performance comes on the same day as Jessica released her first country crossover album, “Do You Know.”
