LOS ANGELES - A very pregnant Ashlee Simpson hit the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
And while Ashlee was in full baby bloom, rumors began to swirl that the 23-year-old pop star was expecting a double delivery.
However, Access Hollywood has confirmed there’s only one bundle of joy headed Ashlee and Pete Wentz’s way in the near future.
A rep for Ashlee told Access Hollywood that the reports the couple is expecting twins are “not true.”
The twin talk began when hip-hop artist Tyga, who is a friend of Pete’s, told E! Online at a pre-VMA party that the couple was, in fact, expecting twins.
Ashlee also cleared the air, perhaps unintentionally, with her choice or words during an MTV VMA segment with Pete on Sunday night, encouraging viewers to vote for MTV’s Best New Artist.
“I voted,” Ashlee said on camera, joking she had voted multiple times. “One for me, one for the baby.”
