ORLANDO, Fla. - AirTran Airways said Friday passengers with flights along the Gulf Coast that may be affected by Tropical Storm Gustav can alter their travel plans without paying a fee.

AirTran said the policy would apply to passengers booked on flights to or from New Orleans, Gulfport-Biloxi, Miss., and Pensacola, Fla., and is in effect through Monday.

To get the change fee waived, passengers must pick new travel plans within seven days of their original itinerary, the carrier said.
