LOS ANGELES - After months of speculation, Jennifer Garner has officially confirmed she is expecting a second child with her husband, Ben Affleck, in a new interview with Access Hollywood.

”Thank you,” Garner told Access Hollywood's Tony Potts at the Baby Einstein’s 10th anniversary celebration on Wednesday, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. “We’re so excited, obviously.”

Garner was coy with the news at first, joking with Potts as he wished her well.

“Congratulations. Can I say that?” Potts asked.

“For what?” Garner smiled.

“For baby number two,” Potts responded.

“Oh I’m not pregnant,” she giggled. “I just had a lot of carbs for breakfast. It’s just — what do they call it? A breakfast pouch? Bunch?”

Garner’s confirmation comes after weeks of speculation as her tummy size swelled to the visible baby bump she is currently sporting.

The child, whose sex the actress did not reveal, will be her second with Affleck. Garner, 36, married Affleck, also 36, in June 2005. They have one daughter — Violet, who was born in December 2005.

Garner’s pregnancy coincides with that of Luciana Damon, the wife of Affleck’s pal Matt Damon. In March it was revealed that Damon and his wife were expecting their second baby together, another daughter. Damon is also stepfather to Luciana’s 9-year-old, Alexia.

Garner told Access the speculation over her baby in recent weeks has made her giggle.

“It always makes me laugh when people say ‘Is she?’ ‘Isn’t she?’ It’s like eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute,” she said.

And the expectant actress said she is prepared, thanks to her daughter, Violet.

“Yeah, been through it,” Garner said. “It’s all good, it’s great. I’m really excited.”
