Tropical storm off Mexico gains bit of strength
Iselle is moving away from land and not expected to be threat

MEXICO CITY - Tropical Storm Iselle gained a little strength as it swirled Thursday off Mexico's southern Pacific coast.
According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, the storm's maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph, a slight increase from when the storm formed Wednesday. But little change in strength is expected over the next few days.
Iselle's center was located about 355 miles south-southeast of the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico.
The storm is moving toward the west-northwest near 8 mph, taking it farther out to sea.
The storm was expected to move over cooler waters and weaken late in the week.
