Henderson, Nev. - The Henderson Police Department is asking for the public's assistance with locating a suspect in an attempted kidnapping that occurred on July 27, 2008.

On Sunday, July 27, 2008, at around 10:50 p.m., a sixteen-year-old girl was walking in a residential area near American Pacific and Trail Canyon Road. The girl walked through Trail Canyon Park and observed a white, 1990's model two-door Honda Civic stop next to her. The driver of the vehicle yelled to the girl and asked her to get into the car. The girl refused and began walking away from the vehicle. The girl then walked faster as the vehicle was following her. The vehicle then stopped and a man got out of the car and ran up to her. The man grabbed her shirt and attempted to pull her towards his vehicle. The girl then kicked the man and was able to run away.

The right, front, bumper of the vehicle was damaged with a dent approximately the size of a bowling ball. There was only one occupant in the vehicle, and the girl described the man as a Hispanic male, approximately twenty-five-years old, 5'10", 200 pounds, with a shaved head, and a large round nose. He did not have any facial hair, and there were no noticeable scars or tattoos. He had a Spanish accent but spoke English. The man's clothing was described as a black t-shirt with a white t-shirt underneath where the sleeves were rolled up to show the white t-shirt. The man was also wearing dark denim jeans.
