Lohan’s dad not ready for a gay wedding

Gay marriage may be legal in California now, but wedding bells don’t seem to be in Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson’s immediate future.

And if the couple were to wed, Lohan’s dad Michael probably wouldn’t play the proud father giving away the bride.

“I haven’t heard anything (about an upcoming wedding) from Lindsay, but if she was marrying Sam, I don’t think she’d ask me to walk her down the aisle,” says Michael. “She knows about my (Christian) faith …  she just wouldn’t ask.”

That’s not to say that he doesn’t support Lindsay and a possible relationship with Ronson, he just supports her in more indirect ways.

“I want her to be happy and healthy and stay on the right path,” he says. “If I discuss (her relationship), I say that I want her to be happy.”

Angelina’s dad sends baby gifts
If gift giving is a marker of an improved relationship, then things between Angelina Jolie and her father, Jon Voight, continue to get better.

Voight, who was estranged from his daughter for years, reportedly bought gifts (via an assistant, natch) for her newborn twins and had them airlifted to France, says a source familiar with the purchase.

“The gift baskets contained products from Bunnies by the Bay: their blankets, outfits, bibs, toys and bunnies,” the source says.

According to the source, a note was included, but Voight isn’t referring to himself as "Grandpa" just yet. It is said to read, “Dear Vivienne and Knox — Bienvenue! xx JV.”

While negotiations between Mary-Kate Olsen and federal investigators continue, some in her camp worry not so much about her possible connection with Heath Ledger’s death — they worry about just who is going to buy the book she and her sister are about to publish.

“Influence,” which features the twins’ interviews with “the most interesting, challenging, creative people we know,” arrives in bookstores in October. It's one of their first endeavors to completely eschew the pre-teen market, which has been so instrumental in their business endeavors.

“The people who really put money in their pockets are buying their branded accessories at Wal-Mart. They aren’t buying expensive coffeetable books with interviews culled together from their nights at places like Bungalow 8,” says a source who is close to the twins. “In the end though they obv(iously) don’t need the money. They should be able to do projects that they want to do for fun.”

TV stars’ salaries revealed
Now that we are years removed from the era when the casts of shows like “Friends” and “Seinfeld” commanded salaries that hovered around the million-dollar mark, the top earners on primetime are a bit more mysterious. TV Guide reveals that “Two and a Half Men’s” Charlie Sheen is the highest-paid comedy star in primetime, and brings in $825,000 per episode. Mariska Hargitay is the highest-paid actress in a drama, thanks to her $600,000 per episode salary for “Law & Order: SVU.” The complete list is in the Aug. 11 issue of TV Guide.
