‘Legally Blonde’ star may soon be legally wed

After months of matrimonial rumors, it looks like Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon finally plan to get hitched. According to the Daily Mail, the couple will swap “I dos” before the end of the year.

“Jake is telling everyone they are getting married at Christmas,” said an insider on the set of the actor’s upcoming film, “The Prince of Persia.”

Not so fast, says representatives for both of the actors. “They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports," the reps told People magazine, calling the reports “lies.”

But the Daily Mail source claims persistence paid off for Jake, who admitted the “Legally Blonde” star didn’t accept his first proposal.

“He told me he had proposed several times but she kept telling him she wanted to give their relationship more time,” the insider revealed. “When he asked her again a couple of weeks ago, she finally said yes.”

if it does happen, the marriage would be the first for Jake and the second for Reese, who divorced actor Ryan Phillippe in 2007.

Jen wants more pooch in her man

“It wouldn’t hurt if, when a woman came home, a guy ran up to her with his tail wagging and he showered her with kisses!” Jen told Life & Style magazine. “That kind of genuine excitement to see someone is something I’d like to see in a man, to be honest.”

Now OK magazine reports the “Fool’s Gold” star is getting cozy with another ex — her ex-husband, Chris Robinson.

Kate and the Black Crowes rocker reportedly were caught in a lip-lock just outside the apartment she shares with their son, Ryder.

“They were really affectionate with each other and gave each other a kiss which lasted much longer than a platonic kiss should last — 20 seconds, maybe a little longer,” an eyewitness revealed. “Without going into all the details, the kiss was more than just friends. They seemed like (there was) something more going on and were very affectionate with each other.”

Dish on the fly
After a group of surfers put the beachside beat down on a pack of paparazzi out to get some candids of Matthew McConaughey, the A-lister in the middle of it all apologized to his Malibu neighbors. According to the National Enquirer, Matthew went door-to-door handing out Starbucks gift cards as a goodwill gesture. “Matt doesn’t want to be looked down on in the ’hood as the guy who caused all the problems,” a source said. … Keira Knightly reached for a little liquid courage when she auditioned for a part in “My Fair Lady” before world famous theater producer Cameron Mackintosh. “It was in front of Cameron himself, so the only option was to get drunk,” Keira told Glamour UK. “I probably did slur my words.
