LUFKIN, Texas - A 70-year-old Texas motorist caused a fatal rollover after an illegal left turn in Lufkin, then started an eight-car pile-up four hours later by rear-ending a stopped car at 70 miles per hour, police said.
A grand jury will review the fatal crash and a medical advisory board will review whether Isaac Milstid will have his driver's license revoked over Wednesday's crashes, authorities said.
Milstid was traveling at a high rate of speed and did not see the stopped vehicles, which raises questions about his ability to drive safely, police said. There were no signs of intoxication or medical problems that could have caused the first crash, police said.
